Congratulations to our Warrior Cheerleaders!
The Middle School squad came home with four blue (superior) ribbons, two red (excellent) ribbons, two spirit sticks, a SPOT award for excellent stunting and spotting skills, a bid to compete in Nationals, and a trophy for the Game Day Top Team competition!!! Also, three middle school cheerleaders received nominations for All American cheerleader: Mercy James, Meredith Bancroft, and Kristin Beach.
The High School squad came home with five blue (superior) ribbons, one red (excellent) ribbon, two spirit sticks, a SPOT award for excellent stunting and spotting skills, a bid to compete in Nationals, and the Herkie award!!!! The Herkie award is awarded to the one team that receives the most votes from other teams for being the best at demonstrating the qualities of a true cheerleader. (It is like our Timothy award at our school.)
Also, two high school cheerleaders received nominations for All American cheerleader: Martha Miller and John Mock. Martha and John went on to try out for All American, and they both made it! Way to go!
Our mascot, Samantha Tidwell, also received a nomination for All American mascot.
