Andrew Wynans ('04) graduated from South Texas College of Law in December 2011. He is the first CCS alumnus to graduate from law school. He and Lindsey Simpson will be married in April 2012.
Alumni Spotlight
Andrew Wynans ('04) graduated summa cum laude from South Texas College of Law in December 2011. He earned the title of "Valedictorian" for his class making him the highest ranked student among those graduating. He is the first CCS alumnus to graduate from law school. Andrew will take the bar exam in February 2012 and will intern for a justice in the Texas Supreme Court beginning in August 2012. He is engaged to Lindsey Simpson. Their wedding is set for April 2012. Great job, Andrew!

David Alban ('02) and Stephanie Roberts Alban ('02): David is a Data Base Administrator with American Nation Insurance in Galveston, TX and Stephanie teaches 9th grade English at Clear Brook High School. They are active at Bay Area First Baptist Church and just finished serving two years as Youth Sunday School Life Group Teachers. Stephanie taught 10th grade girls. David taught 9th grade boys. Presently, they are mentoring young(er) couples in their life group. Stephanie is the Activities Coordinator for the group and David heads up Men's Basketball/Open Gym for the church on Sunday nights. They have enjoyed traveling over the last two years which included trips to Europe, New England, Canada, and the west coast.
Chase Heller ('02) and Rachel Jasper Heller ('02) are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Camryn Heller. She was born on Monday, November 21, 2011, at 10:12 a.m. She weighed 8 lbs 1.5 oz and was 21 inches long. Camryn will be part of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of '2035! Gig'em!
Taylor Pearce Clifford ('03) and husband, Mike, welcomed new baby boy, Knox Bishop Clifford. Taylor and Mike also have a daughter - Ryan Mackenzie Clifford.
Zach Schilleci ('03) is the owner of Schilleci's New Orleans Kitchen in The Woodlands. He and his wife, Susan, are keeping busy with the restaurant and their baby girl, Sophia Rose.
Roxy Wisdom VanWinkle ('03) announced that her husband, Calvin, has accepted a job with Baker Hughes. They will be relocating to Gillette, Wyoming, in June, and hope to get plugged into the local churches and the community very soon!
Nathan Gertson ('05) recently visited CCS to participate in a Warrior Welcome. He enjoyed re-living CCS moments and touring the campus with his fiance, Claire Lewis, as well as introducing her to former teachers, coaches, and administrators. Nathan and Claire are employed by Student Mobilization and plan to be married in May 2012.
Tyler Walker ('05) graduated from Baylor University receiving a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He now lives in Plano and is employed by ARGO, a comapny that provides software for financial institutions (banks, credit unions, etc). Tyler interned for ARGO while in college.
Brian Chang ('06) earned a.Bachelor of Nursing w/ LBJ ER, MD Anderson Research, 3.0 GPA, HESI, while working three jobs!
Luke Jones ('06) and family - wife, Sarah, and son, Myles, recently moved to Casper, Wyoming. Luke is employed by Baker Hughes.
Sarah Mathewes ('06) graduated from Mid-America Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry. She attends Northeast Houston Baptist Church and is part of the choral group. (FYI: Sarah was a member of the high school choir while at CCS!) She is applying for ministry positions to use her degree and talents wherever God leads her. She has been a Premier Jewelry representative since March 2010.
Jessica Van Rieg ('06) is now teaching freshman Algebra at Cy-Springs!
Kasey Witherow ('06) married Cody Goulart in December. Courtney Higgs ('06) was her Maid of Honor, and Kara Schroeder Walker ('06) was a bridesmaid. Kasey and Cody live in Canton, Mississippi, and Kasey is a sixth grade reading teacher at J.J. McClain Middle School in Lexington, Mississippi. She is working on her masters degree in education, as well. Cody works at Cimarron Mortgage Company in Jackson, Mississippi, and will begin his MBA program in February.
Katherine Barnett ('07) graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is now employed as an RN in the Emergency Department of North Cypress Medical Center.
Hunter Floyd ('07) married Carissa Cangialosi in December. Jon Adams ('07) was a groomsman. Hunter will graduate from Liberty University in May 2012 with a degree in Biblical Studies. He and Carissa plan to help start a church in Las Vegas, Nevada with Dr. David Early.
Austin Teague ('07) graduated from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor with a degree in Sport Marketing. He is employed by the Houston Dynamos.
Samantha Ridder ('08) graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a Psychology: Pre-Counseling degree.
Allie Borkovich ('08) will graduate from Texas A&M University in May 2012 and is now interviewing with medical schools to continue her education. She plans to go into pediatric medicine. Between August 2011 and November 2011, she interviewed with five Texas medical schools receiving offers of acceptance from Texas Tech's Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in El Paso and UNT's Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. She has accepted both of those offers, as they are considered pre-match, early acceptance. In February 2012, she will begin the match process in which she hopes to be accepted to one of her top choices.
The annual Alumni Soccer Game was held on December 31, 2011. Alumni who participated were Jonathan Mason ('11), Michael Teague ('10), Usman Mohammed ('11), Ashley Teague ('11), and Tony Lozada ('10), and Taylor Brown ('11).
