After-school Etiquette Class
March 21, 2011
Every Tuesday, for five weeks, twenty students (3rd through 5th graders) participated in Ms. Macel's after-school club to learn many forms of etiquette.
The students were taught:
- how to make a good first impression;
- how to act as a guest at someone's house;
- the proper form of answering the telephone; and
- appropriate table manners.
Working on activities together, students performed skits and participated in an informal dinner setting. During the last etiquette class, the students dressed up in nice church attire to practice their skills, The boys were coached on how to "tie a tie." In addition, they gave roses to the girls and escorted them to their seats at the dinner table. The students enjoyed a great meal together while honing their table manners.
Congratulations to these students for participating in this class to honor the Lord through proper etiquette. Thanks to our volunteers for helping to make our after-school etiquette club a successful learning experience.
