Missions & Service

It is more than just football

We want to be a football program that does more than just play a game. We are striving to build men and an important part of that growth is learning to serve our community. We want to impact our world for Jesus Christ and we are working to teach this to our players in several ways.

Service

It is our goal to do two service projects as a team each year. We will do one in the fall and another in the summer. There are always needs that arise in our community and we are working to partner with local churches to better identify those needs. During the 2008 season we spent one Saturday cleaning up the homes after Hurricane Ike. In 2010 we spent an afternoon at Boy's and Girl's Country. These projects help to build the team but more importantly they give us the opportunity to show the love of Christ to those around us.

Missions

The football team is planning to go on a short term mission trips. It might just be to another part of Houston to put on football camps and do service projects or it might be down in South Texas to build homes and put on Bible schools. In 2011 we completed our first mini camp in the City of Houston but putting on a football clinic at the Faith Center.
