Secondary Drama / Speech

From plays to musicals to offering speeches to debating classmates, this department rocks!   Secondary students have many opportunities to perform and hone their skills in preparation for competition in the spring and in preparation for life!

Drama Teacher

CCS is pleased to announce Mrs. Dia Moore as the department’s Drama Teacher.  Mrs. Moore received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech from the University of Texas in Austin. She has directed and acted in productions of original dramatic works written for children, and has also performed in community theater productions at Houston’s Main Street Theater and Theatre on Wheels. Mrs. Moore has a long history of serving in multiple CCS production roles, including assistant director and choreographer, and she has been involved with productions such as “Toys and Treasures” and “Cinderella.” Additionally, Mrs. Moore has a successful track record of coaching secondary students to gold medal performances in ACSI and TAPPS competitions.

Production Coordinator / Speech

Mrs. Becky Fredrickson will teach speech classes and will also serve as a Production Coordinator with the Fine Arts Department. Mrs. Fredrickson received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas in Austin. Having previously taught drama, and having been active in sacred music leadership for over a decade, Mrs. Fredrickson will support both drama and music programs in the upcoming year.
