The Chamber Choir, Soloist Dana Mickey, and Pianist Madison Clark received Superior Ratings at the TAPPS State competition. Everyone is invited to Choir Concert on May 10.

Chamber Choir Receives Gold at World Strides Heritage Performance
The Chamber Choir received a Gold rating and an invitation to the Festival in Gold in either Los Angeles, Chicago, or New York City's Carnegie Hall.

Spring 2011
TAPPS State Choir and Vocal Competition
Both choirs, along with six soloists and one quartet, had the great privilege of competing at the state level of the TAPPS Vocal Competition and did excellently. "The countless hours of preparation and the heart behind the effort is what most pleases me and our Lord," said Choir Director Stephanie Shepson! "I thank the Lord for His gifts, His protection, and His joy! All glory be to Him!
Choral Students Receive Superior Ratings at District
- High School Choir, Chamber Choir, vocal soloists, and small ensembles competed at the TAPPS District Competition on March 7, 2011. After receiving Superior rankings at TAPPS District Competitions, the High School Choir, Chamber Choir and select soloists will compete in the State Choral/Instrumental Competition on April 7 and 8 in Belton, TX. Choir Brings Home the Gold from Heritage Festival
- Chamber Choir traveled to San Antonio March 25-26, 2011 for the Heritage Festival Competition (a competition attended by private and public schools). Click here to read story.
Support Choir Program
- The whole choral program has been fundraising to pay for off-campus facilities usage and accompanist for upcoming concerts. Donations are welcomed. Checks may be made out to CCS and forwarded to Choir Director Stephanie Shepson.
Choir Students Excel at State
- The TAPPS State Competition were held on April 8-9, 2011 in Belton, TX for those that received superior scores at district competition. Choral students excelled at this competition. Click here to read story.
Spring Concert - April 29, 2011
- The Spring Concert will be held April 29 at 7:30 p.m. at The Foundry United Methodist Church and will feature all of the music that was performed in TAPPS competitions.
Fall 2010
- High School Choir, Chamber Choir, and Middle School Girls' Ensemble performed at Christmas Concert on December 11, 7:30 p.m. - Click here to see archived video of this performance.
- The CCS Chamber Choir sang a piece in Latin "Salmo 150" and a gospel piece "Stand Upon the Rock" for the Annual Banquet on October 16, 2010. May God be glorified for a great performance!
- Choir members performed for residents of Ainsley Assisted Living in the Cypress area.
