Upon return to school from the break, Spanish III Honors students began an independent reading project. They were able to choose between four short novels. Several chose to read El ojo de agua, an adventure novel which takes place in Costa Rica. The cover of the book is very similar to a Spanish art project that Bella Henslee completed during the second quarter art unit. She painted a canvas with tears flowing from an eye of the world being held by Jesus' nailed scarred hands that represents the sadness and suffering of our lost world for which Jesus gave His life. Andrew Williams, Bella, Alex Andrus and Griffin Fisk posed with their novels and the painting.
