Seventh-Graders Share Bible Verses Helpful to Them

A verse that has helped me during this time is Psalm 9:9-10, “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” This verse reminds me that we can always go to God for times of difficulty. Even in a time like this when everyone is scared about what will happen, we know that God has a plan to make good out of this. We just have to trust that He will protect us, and most importantly, trust in Him always. Right now we should all stay inside and try not to get the virus.  ~ Aleah

A verse that helps me through this time is 1 Peter 5:7, which says, "Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you." This verse really helps me know that when I'm afraid I can know that He's there. If I get anxious about something that is happening around me, I can turn back to Him and throw all of the worries on Him. This Bible verse also helps me know that I have someone in my life, who I can trust to hold onto the things that I need to hold onto.  ~ Claire

"For with God, nothing shall be impossible," Luke 1:37. This verse is meaningful to me because we can know that God has a plan for us. His plan is going to conquer this virus and everything harmful that comes to us. God has the whole world in His hands and is watching over us. All we need to do is believe in Him and that He is in control.  ~ Cheyenne

A verse that helps me during this time is Hebrews 13:8 and it states, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." (NIV) This verse remind me that even during COVID-19, Jesus is the same perfect God Who loves and cares for you. He cares for the sick and the needy and everything will be okay as long as we know that He will be on the throne, and He always will be, so there is no need to stress because we know that Jesus is the King and does everything for our good.  ~ Avery
