Track and Field is going strong at Cypress Christian, and this past spring the girls made their mark at the TAPPS State Track and Field Meet held at Baylor University, in Waco.

 

As a freshman, Shanay Briscoe set two State records and won five gold medals in her two days of competition.  She was joined by three sophomores to make our first-ever State Champion Relay team. 

All in all, the Girls Track team earned Third Place in State, just missing First by 7 points!  We will be working hard this year to make sure we find ways to earn even more points as we are hungry for a Team State Championship.  Be watching for us as track season begins in the Spring.
