Administrators work together to pursue excellence in all areas of the school. The Board of Directors sets the educational and business policies of the school and the school's Head of School executes these policies while supervising the faculty and staff.

Head of School – Mr. Stephen J. Novotny, J.D. brings a wealth of experience and knowledge and impeccable credentials to his new position at Cypress Christian School. As he and his wife Rachel have two sons who attend the school, he has a vested interest in educating and training the next generation of Christian leaders. Mr. Novotny received his Bachelor's of Science from Liberty University and his Juris Doctorate from Baylor University School of Law. He is a former officer of the United States Army. He is a member of both the Texas and Washington State Bars and is admitted and qualified to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

Secondary Principal – Dr. Glenn Holzman has several decades of administrative experience in Christian education. Dr. Holzman and his wife Judy have two grown children. His heart for ministry and his academic credentials (shown below) are an asset to the school.

Elementary School Principal/Curriculum Director – Mrs. Donna Stumbaugh has committed her time, talents, and energy to minister to students, parents and teachers at Cypress Christian School for the last fourteen years. Her proven experience in curriculum development and improvement and her extraordinary organizational and leadership skills have allowed her to be an important contributor to the administrative team as it fulfills the mission of CCS. Mrs. Stumbaugh is unquestionably dedicated to Christian education. She emphasizes that Christian education represents an opportunity to instill Christian values through the use of scripture. She is committed to the ideal that teachers are living examples of who Christ is, as they teach about God's world through God's Word.

Assistant Principal–Middle School – Mrs. Iva Nell Rhea serves in this capacity in addition to teaching MS English. She has been affiliated with CCS, off and on, since 1986. Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree from Carson-Newman College, a Baptist liberal-arts college in Tennessee; a Master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Ft. Worth; and a Master’s in Reading Education from Prairie View A&M University. Mrs. Rhea has a special interest in and love for middle school students and enjoys seeing God work in them to produce young men and women of strong faith who can engage the world for Christ.
Dean of Students/Head Boys’ Basketball Coach – Mr. Craig Cleveland has served as Dean of Students for the past two of his six years at Cypress Christian. He began teaching and coaching in 1996 after graduating from Houston Baptist University. Coach
Cleveland oversees all disciplinary matters and assists Dr. Holzman in
maintaining a safe, godly atmospheres for the students, faculty, and
staff.
Director of Institutional Advancement - Mr. Jacob Spenn is known to CCS families as an effective coach with a heart for Christian discipleship. He also brings to this institution a valuable academic and professional management background. Mr. Spenn graduated Cum Laude from Taylor University, completing a double major in Math and Physics/Environmental Science. While at Taylor, he was a four-year letterman with the university’s football team. Mr. Spenn went on to complete a Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois in Civil and Environmental Engineering, specializing in environmental hydrology and hydraulic engineering. He is a Texas Professional Licensed Engineer, who has served for more than eight years as a project manager with the Harris County Flood Control District overseeing major county infrastructure projects, as well as the public affairs and media coordination associated with these public projects.
Mr. Spenn will
continue to lead the CCS football program, which has grown in size,
quality, and effectiveness under his leadership, but will now assist
our athletic department in promoting and coordinating other sports
programs as well. Additionally, he will assume a new role as
our Director of Institutional Advancement. In this position, Mr. Spenn
will work to advance the school’s advertising, fundraising, admissions,
and development efforts.
